Damage Geometry & Extent

Precise 3D capture of the damaged zone — hull deformation, structural distortion, breach geometry, collapsed or displaced structure. Measurable, navigable and dimensionally accurate.

Deviation from Nominal

Measured departure from the vessel’s original geometry — dents, buckles, set-in plating, displaced frames — expressed as dimensional deviations. Provides the data repair specifications are written from.

Adjacent Structure Documentation

Zones adjacent to the primary damage captured to establish the limit of affected structure — critical for repair scope definition and avoiding missed damage at the survey stage.

Access & Constraint Documentation

Clearances, access restrictions, obstructions and working space constraints in the repair area documented spatially — so repair teams know what they’re working with before mobilisation.

Pre- and Post-Repair Record

Where access is available before and after repair, the survey provides a dimensional baseline and a post-repair verification record confirming the structure has been returned to within tolerance.

We establish the damage location, access conditions, urgency timeline and required deliverable format before mobilising. Where time is short, scoping is done by phone — we don’t slow the process.

On-Site Survey

Survey-grade 3D laser scanning of the damaged zone and adjacent structure — on the quay, in dry dock or under active repair. We work around access restrictions and insurance assessor visits.

Processing & Documentation

Data registered and processed into the agreed deliverable set — point cloud, 3D model, dimensional deviation report and annotated markup. Structured clearly for use by multiple parties simultaneously.

Delivery & Follow-On
